Why LUMINOUS ?

In January of 2025, after 14 years of being cancer-free, my mom was diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer and became a stage IV cancer patient. 

Suddenly life looked very different. I stepped into a new role as her caregiver; coordinating medical appointments, navigating treatment decisions with her, and helping manage the practical pieces of her life while continuing to run my life as wife, mom and business owner.

Watching your mom face cancer once is devastating, let along a second time. But in the middle of the difficulty, something else revealed itself too: strength.

Not just hers, though her resilience continues to inspire me every day - but my own. I discovered how much capacity I have to love, support, carry, and keep moving forward when someone I love needs me.

And as 2026 approached, another milestone was waiting for me: my 40th birthday.

It made me pause and reflect on my own journey.  The strength it took to get here, the confidence I've grown into, and the women I've become.

So I stepped in front of my the camera.

The portraits that came from that experience remind me of something powerful.

I am strong.
I am confident.
I am beautiful in this season of life.

I am luminous.

And I realized something even bigger.

Every woman deserves to feel this way.

I have never experienced a photo session like this before. It was unforgettable, and for someone who is usually not comfortable in front of the camera, I felt confident and beautiful.

Your experience includes one digital image and a matching 5x7 fine are print (a $250 value).  Additional portraits and artwork are available for purchase after your session.
